Online RoadSoft Training Series Introduction

Description
This online training series is intended for new RoadSoft users. It will consist of five, 2-hour sessions designed to help them get started with RoadSoft, use the Laptop Data Collector (LDC), and manage their RoadSoft database. This training will be Each individual session will be presented via the web, and will provide users with the opportunity to learn more about RoadSoft and to interact with the experts at Michigan Tech’s Center for Training & Technology (CTT).

May 17, 2010 — Session 1: Training Overview / Understanding RoadSoft
May 18, 2010 — Session 2: Using the Road Module
May 19, 2010 — Session 3: Data Collection in RoadSoft / Using the LDC
May 20, 2010 — Session 4: Managing Your RoadSoft Data
May 21, 2010 — Session 5: Intro to Safety Analysis / Using Crash Data

Who Should Attend?
This training is designed for new RoadSoft users and users wishing to gain more understanding of introductory RoadSoft concepts and best practices.

Overview of Training
Implementing an asset management program goes a long way toward maximizing invested road funds, but there is no "one-size-fits-all" solution for asset management. Every agency has unique needs, goals, and resources. This workshop is designed to help you understand the basic concepts of asset management so you can design a program that makes the most of your resources, and provides the greatest benefit to your agency. The workshop also provides techniques for explaining asset management concepts to constituents and peers.

Cost and Registration
The cost to attend this series is $45 per connection, which covers phone and web conferencing costs. This fee allows you to attend as many or as few days of training as you wish and you may have multiple participants at your agency listening in to a single connection. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. To Participate
This training is a web-based training, so you can participate from the comfort of your office. You will need a computer with a high speed Internet connection for the video portion of the presentation and a phone for the audio portion of the presentation. Detailed instructions will be provided to all those who register.
