Hydraulic Systems Use Fluid Power To Do Work:
When a hydraulic system doesn't work, work doesn't get done. This one-day workshop, which includes an engaging blend of classroom instruction and hands-on demonstrations, will provide mechanics and equipment operators a basic understanding of hydraulic systems so they can keep their equipment working. The workshop will cover the following topics:
  • Safety, Safety, Safety
  • Four rules of basic hydraulics
  • Defining and measuring pressure, flow and horsepower
  • Basic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair

Who Should Attend:

Mechanics, equipment operators and anyone who regularly works with or is responsible for heavy equipment will benefit from this workshop.

About the Instructor:
Steve Sutton is a graduate of Michigan State University's Power Equipment Technology program and has over 20 years of mobile hydraulic experience. He has worked for AIS Construction Equipment in Lansing since 1989 as a shop technician and currently as a service trainer and technical support specialist. Steve is in his seventh year of teaching heavy equipment hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and service writing for Lansing Community College.
